FABTECH 2024 Preview: Automated fibre laser cutting, bending systems offer 24/7 processing capabilities

Nov 01, 2024

AMADA AMERICA will be showcasing its product lineup at FABTECH 2024 in booth S22003.

AMADA's Ventis 3015 AJe 9-kW fibre laser is paired with AMS CLT automation and a TK 3015L automated parts sorter. This system combines Locus Beam Control to achieve infinite locus patterns to ensure optimum beam shape control for each specific cutting application with 24/7 processing capabilities.

The laser provides virtually dross-free cutting of a variety of materials and thicknesses, including stainless steel and aluminum. The flexible automation system reduces unnecessary machine downtime due to manual material loading.

It is modular to transition from a single-cycle loader to a multishelf tower that can support multiple lasers. The automated parts sorter is designed to unload everything from the most intricate part nests to large panels.

The Regius 3015 AJe 26-kW fibre laser system combines what the company says is the world’s fastest 3-axis linear drive system with a variety of features to help ensure high-speed, continuous operation. By autonomously monitoring for nozzle condition, pierce penetration, tip-ups, and debris on the protection glass, the machine can seamlessly navigate around production issues that may disrupt laser cutting.

The EGB 6013 ARce automated bending system delivers precise processing of high-mix, low-volume parts. To support 24/7 operation, the machine is equipped with removable part trays, both vertical and horizontal. The three-finger backgauge helps eliminate gauging mistakes and the need for part-locating fixtures to streamline production.
